Position: Kids Coordinator - Ages 3 through 5th Grade
Location:Â El Dorado Hills Campus
Reports to: Kids Pastor/Director
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Job Status: Part-time
The Kids Coordinator partners with the Kids Pastor/Director to create safe, engaging, Christ-centered environments where children ages 3 through Grade 5 can know Jesus, build meaningful relationships, and grow in their faith. This role supports weekend ministry environments, curriculum, volunteers, families, ministry resources, and special events while helping execute the vision of Bayside Kids with excellence.
Primary Responsibilities
Weekend Experience & Ministry Execution
- Coordinate and support assigned Bayside Kids environments serving children ages 3 through Grade 5.
- Assist with preparing and implementing curriculum, lessons, activities, supplies, and classroom materials.
- Ensure classrooms and ministry environments are prepared, organized, appropriately supplied, and ready before each service.
- Help create age-appropriate environments that are safe, welcoming, engaging, and supportive of children's spiritual growth.
- Partner with the Kids Pastor/Director to maintain high ministry standards and consistent weekend execution.
- Assist with check-in, classroom transitions, special accommodations, and other family needs.
- Support ministry events, camps, special services, seasonal programming, and family ministry initiatives throughout the year.
- Help ensure ministry resources, technology, supplies, and equipment are available and ready for use.
- Evaluate ministry environments and recommend improvements to curriculum, systems, communication, and overall ministry experience.
Volunteer Leadership & Development
- Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, and encourage volunteers serving in assigned Kids Ministry environments.
- Build healthy volunteer teams that are equipped, appreciated, and growing in their ability to serve.
- Provide encouragement, support, and feedback to volunteers.
- Communicate regularly with volunteers regarding schedules, ministry expectations, events, and needs.
- Help foster a positive, team-oriented culture that reflects Bayside's values.
Parent & Family Engagement
- Build relationships with families and serve as a welcoming, approachable resource for parents.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding ministry updates, events, and opportunities to engage.
- Partner with parents to support the spiritual growth and discipleship of their children.
- Help create a ministry environment where children and families feel welcomed, known, and cared for.
Ministry Administration
- Assist with ministry calendars, scheduling, preparation of materials, and coordination of ministry logistics.
- Maintain accurate volunteer schedules, attendance, and ministry records as needed.
- Monitor classroom supplies, equipment, and ministry resources and communicate purchasing or replacement needs.
- Assist with purchasing and help ensure ministry expenses remain within approved budgets.
- Help ensure safety, security, check-in procedures, and ministry policies are consistently followed.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain personal, physical, emotional, and spiritual health while pursuing a deepening relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Connect regularly with the Kids Pastor/Director regarding the vision, strategy, and goals of Bayside Kids.
- Work as part of the Kids Ministry team and assist with the development and execution of a strategic vision for Kids Ministry.
- Collaborate with the Kids Ministry team, campus staff, ministry leaders, parents, and volunteers.
- Be present at worship services, ministry events, and strategic church gatherings as assigned.
- Attend campus, department, and All-Staff/All-Campus meetings as requested.
- Stay informed about current best practices in children's ministry, child development, and family discipleship.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Kids Pastor/Director.

Qualification
- 2 years’ experience in children’s ministry, early childhood, education, or a related field.
- Proficient in using modern technology tools, with a solid understanding of basic computer operations and the ability to quickly learn new applications and systems.
