Job DetailsJob Location: El Dorado Hills, CA 95762Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $40.00 - $50.00 Hourly POSITION SUMMARY Serrano Country Club is seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and service-oriented Tennis Professional to join our Racquet Sports team on a part-time basis, working towards a full-time position. This role involves coaching players of all ages and skill levels in both group and private settings. The ideal candidate creates a fun, positive environment on the court, possesses strong communication skills, and has a flexible, upbeat coaching style. This position requires the ability to play at a 4.0 level or higher and to effectively teach both technical fundamentals and match-play strategies. Needs to be comfortable in outdoor environments, including exposure to heat and direct sunlight, and to maintain a high standard of instruction and member service in all weather conditions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct individual and group tennis and/or pickleball lessons for youth and adult members at all skill levels. Assist in planning and organizing clinics, camps, leagues, and social events as directed by the Director of Racquet Sports. Provide personalized instruction, constructive feedback, and skill development plans to help players improve technique and performance. Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive environment on and off the court at all times. Maintain equipment, ensure courts are kept clean and organized, and report maintenance needs promptly. Interact professionally and courteously with members, guests, and fellow staff to promote a team-oriented and positive club atmosphere. Assist with scheduling, court reservations, and program communications as needed. Uphold Club standards, policies, and dress code; represent Serrano Country Club with professionalism at all times. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed by the Director of Racquet Sports, the Director of Operations, or the General Manager.  *Disclaimer- the position pays $16.90 per hour and $40-$50 per class depending on experience.  QualificationsThe following qualifications represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully: Required: Previous experience playing or coaching tennis at a professional, collegiate, or competitive recreational level. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact positively with members, guests, supervisors, and coworkers. Ability to motivate, inspire, and help players reach their goals effectively Ability to work with players of all skill levels, ages, and backgrounds. Ability to work independently and take initiative while also contributing to a collaborative team environment. Ability to come to work regularly and on time, follow directions, accept feedback constructively, and treat all individuals with respect. Reliable transportation and demonstrated punctuality. Must meet legal age requirements for the position. Must provide valid document(s) to work in the United States. Preferred: RSPA, PTR, or PPR certification (or active pursuit there) is strongly preferred. Experience teaching liveball, cardio tennis, juniors, seniors, or beginner-level players. Knowledge of tennis rules, tactics, and contemporary teaching methodologies. Private club, resort, or upscale recreational facility experience preferred. CPR/First Aid certification preferred; willingness to obtain required.  EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE  A minimum of (3) years of coaching or instructional experience in tennis. Experience in an upscale private club, resort, or hospitality environment is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in kinesiology, physical education, or a related field is a plus. Â
