GENERAL SUMMARY
The AVP/VP, Data Quality Analyst serves as a recognized subject matter expert (SME) within the Enterprise Data Governance Office (EDGO) and is accountable for designing, implementing and continuously improving the Bank’s enterprise data quality framework.
This role operates with a high degree of independence and exercises advanced judgment in interpreting regulatory requirements, risk policies, and enterprise data standards, The incumbent will lead complex, cross-functional data quality initiatives impacting risk data aggregation, enterprise critical reports, regulatory reporting, internal management reporting, and executive decision-making. The AVP/VP, Data Quality Analyst will partner directly with Risk, Finance, Technology, and Business stakeholders to establish data controls, govern critical data elements (CDEs), and ensure compliance with regulatory expectations.Â

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, implement, and enhance enterprise data quality standards, controls, and monitoring practices across all data domains.
- Interpret regulatory guidance (e.g., BCBS 239) and translate requirements into scalable data governance controls.
- Establish and maintain governance over Critical Data Elements (CDEs), including definition, lineage and control validation.
- Evaluate and enhance the use of enterprise data governance tools to automate monitoring and reporting, i.e. Enterprise Data Quality Automation (EDQA) tool built on Pega.
- Review transformation logic, lineage documentation, and data aggregation processes to ensure accuracy and control effectiveness.
- Develop and oversee advanced SQL-based data validation routines and profiling methodologies.
- Support regulatory examinations and internal audit reviews related to enterprise data quality and risk data aggregation.
- Lead cross-functional working groups to address complex data quality and data risk issues.
- Drive remediation strategies for material data quality findings and monitor resolution across business and technology teams.
- Provide thought leadership on data quality operating model enhancements.
- Advise senior leaders, business risk & control officers (BRCOs) and domain stewards on data quality posture and emerging risk trends.
- Guide business and technology partners to adopt standardized data controls and governance practices.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior analysts, as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Â Â
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Master’s degree or Data Governance certification (CDMP, CIMP, DGSP, etc.) a plus.
Experience: Â
- 3-5 years of experience (AVP level) or 5-7 years of experience (VP level) in Data Quality/Data Management. Â Experience within financial services is preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience with data quality testing and writing SQL statements.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise data quality controls.
- Strong exposure to regulatory data frameworks (e.g., BCBS 239)
- Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives with enterprise-level impact.
- Experience working and effectively collaborating with reporting, operations, and technology teams.
- Experience with enterprise data governance or data quality platforms is mandatory (e.g.: Informatica, Collibra, etc.)
Skills/Ability:Â
- Advanced SQL proficiency; python proficiency is a plus
- Strong understanding of data warehouse, ETL processes, and data lineage concepts.
- Exercises independent judgement in ambiguous or complex situations.Â
- Proven ability to lead initiatives impacting multiple business units.
- Demonstrated ability to guide stakeholders without direct authority.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in various areas of responsibility.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
