The Assembler performs a variety of assembly, production, inspection, packaging, and manufacturing support duties within a fast-paced production environment. This position supports operational goals related to safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery while maintaining compliance with company standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities: 

Production & Assembly Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders, routers, production drawings, assembly instructions, and verbal directions.
• Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, finished products, and related systems using hand tools, fixtures, machinery, and production equipment.
• Perform assembly functions such as wiring, soldering, fastening, gluing, crimping, testing, inspection, labeling, packaging, and material handling activities.
• Operate production equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Conduct visual inspections and basic testing to ensure quality and production specifications are met.
• Maintain production records and documentation as required.
• Rotate between workstations, production lines, and departments based on operational needs.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas in compliance with safety expectations and company policies.
• Identify and communicate quality, safety, or production concerns to leadership.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and team-oriented production goals.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or production experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and safety procedures.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing production priorities and assignments.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing and production environment with exposure to moving mechanical equipment, noise, vibration, dust, fumes, and temperature fluctuations.
• PPE may be required including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other protective equipment as needed.
• Work may involve exposure to non-climate-controlled production areas.
• Overtime, weekends, and non-standard hours may be required based on operational needs.
   

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift on concrete and production flooring.
• Frequently required to use hands, wrists, and fingers for repetitive motions including grasping, squeezing, pinching, handling, fingering, assembling, wiring, soldering, operating hand tools, and manipulating small components.
• Frequent wrist flexion, wrist extension, rotation, and repetitive upper extremity movement are essential functions of the position.
• Frequently required to reach in all directions, including overhead reaching and extended reaching away from the body.
• Frequently required to push, pull, lift, carry, and move materials, parts, bins, and finished goods throughout the workday.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds independently and safely.
• Frequently required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, squat, and maintain awkward body positions while performing production and assembly tasks.
• Requires the ability to safely operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, testing devices, fixtures, machinery, and production equipment.
• Requires repetitive use of both hands and arms throughout the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to perform fine motor coordination tasks and maintain manual dexterity necessary for assembly and inspection work.
• Visual acuity is required for close inspection of components, reading work instructions, identifying defects, and using measuring or testing equipment.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, vibration, moving mechanical parts, temperature fluctuations, dust, fumes, and other manufacturing-related conditions.
• Must be able to rotate between workstations, departments, and job assignments based on production and operational needs.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and non-standard hours as business needs require.
• Employees must be able to perform all essential job functions safely and effectively, with or without reasonable accommodation.
