General Laborer

Sparrow Company is searching for a dependable and hardworking General Laborer to support quarry, concrete, and asphalt operations. This position involves general labor duties such as handling materials, site cleanup, and assisting with equipment. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and performing physically demanding work. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Assist with daily operations at quarry, concrete, and asphalt production facilities
• Handle, move, and organize materials throughout the worksite
• Perform general site cleanup and housekeeping to maintain a safe work environment
• Assist operators and maintenance personnel with equipment and operational needs
• Remove debris and keep work areas, walkways, and production areas clean and organized
• Load, unload, and transport materials as needed
• Follow all safety procedures, policies, and company guidelines
• Identify and report safety hazards, equipment issues, or operational concerns
• Support special projects and additional labor needs as assigned
• Perform other duties as required to support production and operational goals

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, mining, quarry, asphalt, concrete, or general labor preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as required
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor for extended periods
• Strong work ethic and willingness to perform a variety of tasks
• Ability to work safely in an industrial environment
• Reliable transportation required
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Flexibility to work on call, varying schedules, including early mornings, extended shifts, weekends, and overtime
