Join our hearing conservation team. Conduct hearing tests and audiometric screening for military service members ensuring hearing readiness for deployment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Receive and orient service members for hearing tests
- Explain testing methods and procedures
- Perform otoscopic examinations
- Conduct hearing tests in multi-person sound booth using DOEHRS-HC
- Perform daily function checks and biological calibrations
- Review test results for quality control
- Maintain, clean, and sterilize equipment
- Document all test results in electronic health record
- Restock supplies as needed
Qualifications Needed
- Education: Certificate from occupational hearing conservationist course OR military hearing program training
- Certification: CAOCH certification (Hearing Conservationist) highly desired
- BLS: Current certification required
- Experience: 1+ year as audiology technician within last 2 years
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizen
