Job DetailsJob Location: El Paso - El Paso , TX 79912Job Summary: This position is responsible for field fueling, lubing, and servicing of construction equipment under the coordination of dispatch. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: • Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle. • Follow dispatch route, plan route changes, and prioritize jobs. • Maintain alignment with project supervisors, superintendent, project manager, and dispatch. • Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries, as required. • Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely transport and delivery. • Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip. • Check weather conditions and road reports before departure. • Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change fluids & filters, tire pressure, repairs, etc.) and ensure vehicle is maintained clean. • Follow the delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times. • Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs, and track and report working hours. • Provide ad hoc support and assistance in the daily operation of the shop and field activities. • Communicate with dispatch to report issues and as needed. • Adhere to company rules and regulations. • Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions. • Comply with OSHA, ICC, and DOT regulations. • Regular attendance is required according to company policy to ensure the crew can operate at the normal efficiency level. • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and policies while promoting the company’s safety culture. • Perform other duties of a similar or related nature as assigned. QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities: • Clean driving record with no violations, and must be able to clear a background check and drug screen. • Knowledge of DOT regulations pertaining to commercial vehicles. • Able to follow written and/or oral instructions. • Able to work on an individual basis and in a team environment. • Alert, focused, and detail-oriented. • Ability to push/pull 80+ lbs. • Ability to lift/carry 80+ lbs. • Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as loading and unloading materials. • Able to wear personal protective equipment is required, including but not limited to steel-toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest, etc. Education and Experience: • High school diploma or GED equivalent. • Valid Class A driver’s license with a clear MVR and Medical Card required. • HAZMAT and Tanker endorsement required. • 2+ years proven experience driving commercial vehicle in construction environment preferred. Physical Requirements: • Exposure to outdoor environment with machinery/equipment in the surrounding area. • Must be able to push/pull/lift carry 80+ lbs. • Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the outdoor elements. • May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis. • Exposure to extreme heat or cold external temperatures • Frequent sitting along with frequent standing and moving activity. • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. This position routinely requires the use of personal and/or company vehicles on company business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license, and maintain an acceptable driving record.
