This position is responsible for the routine and advanced material handling responsibilities within a product line. Responsible for maintaining adequate inventory levels to ensure maximum productivity of workers.Ā

  • High School Education or GED requiredĀ 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in material handling functionĀ 
  • Ability to work independentlyĀ 
  • Uses independent judgement and initiative to resolve supply problems, consulting supervisor only when all options have been exhaustedĀ 
  • May be required to have forklift certificationĀ 
  • SAP experience is a plusĀ 
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprint/material drawingsĀ 
  • Basic computer knowledge requiredĀ

  • Requires ability to reach overhead, pull, push, and climb a ladder to perform work.Ā

RESPONSIBILITY (Equipment or Process, Material or Product, Safety of Others, Work of Others)Ā

  • Responsible for the continuous supply of materials to one or more production or assembly areasĀ 
  • Responsible for ā€œkittingā€ materials on the production line to ensure all parts of order required are at point of origination to keep line moving at steady paceĀ 
  • Responsible for picking parts from Kanban or storage areas and placing the parts into a storage bin (kit)Ā 
  • Ensures correct parts are kept in the appropriate quantities to support production and assembly requirementsĀ 
  • May take parts from inventory area and ensures Water Spider is kept stocked at appropriate levels of inventoryĀ 
  • Performs repetitive and advanced material supply functions following detailed work direction and guidelinesĀ 
  • May operate forklift truck or hand truck for delivery or picking of parts and suppliesĀ 
  • Sorts and counts parts and supplies and logs inventoryĀ 
  • Inspects parts for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnelĀ 
  • Expedites parts and uses independent judgement to resolve part shortagesĀ 
  • May trace or track lost parts and suppliesĀ 
  • Regularly interacts with production assemblers and testersĀ 
  • May maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file kitter recordsĀ 
  • Document material movement using computer tabletsĀ 
  • Responsible for rotating KB material FIFOĀ 
  • Material audits, turning in and documenting KB cards for replenishmentĀ 
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standardsĀ 
  • Document proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practicesĀ 
  • Establishes and maintains a safe and healthful working environment in accordance with OSHA requirementsĀ 
  • Performs other tasks as may be requested to assure the effective and continuous utilization of assetsĀ
