Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: El Paso Childrens Hospital - El Paso, TX 79905Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayJob Category: NursePosition Summary The Perioperative Services Quality Measures Coordinator reports directly to the Director, Perioperative Services and assists with coordinating the development, implementation, and evaluation of Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: supports the hospital’s performance improvement process; identifies performance trends; as well as prioritizes, and recommends improvements. Assists in ensuring compliance with all The Joint Commission (TJC) standards. Investigates specific areas of concern as identified by the Perioperative leadership team for both Perioperative Services and hospital initiatives. Provides leadership towards achieving compliance, and/or developing suitable alternatives that will meet regulatory requirements aligned with the hospital’s Mission and Values.    QualificationsMinimum Position Requirements Work Experience: Minimum three (3) years Registered Nurse (RN) clinical experience in Operating Room or Post Anesthesia Care Unit. Working knowledge of EMR documentation.   License/Registration/Certification: Current Registered Nurse (RN) License to practice in the State of Texas. Basis Life Support (BLS) certified. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certified. Education and Training: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.   Skills: Highly effective oral and written communication skills. Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills. Ability to make effective group presentations.  Strong knowledge of EMR technology. Knowledge of professional nursing principles, practices, concepts, and procedures as applied to the care of the patient population served. Ability to utilize computer software applications to include word processing, spreadsheets and power point. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
