Pharmacy Technicians needed to support medication services for deploying and redeploying military personnel. Work in a high-volume pharmacy setting ensuring proper medication dispensing and patient education.
Key Functions
- Receive and process prescription orders
- Screen prescriptions for accuracy and compliance
- Prepare package labels and verify medications
- Provide patient medication instructions
- Maintain pharmaceutical inventory levels
- Prepare replenishment orders and stock shelves
- Conduct medication storage area inspections
- Maintain security of all pharmaceuticals
- Participate in quality assurance activities
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of ASHP-accredited pharmacy technician program OR formal military pharmacy training
- Certification: PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certified
- BLS: Current certification required
- Experience: 1+ year as pharmacy technician within last 2 years
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizen required
