Technica is seeking a Safety Officer for support on Fort Bliss, TX
Description:
- Must comply with applicable federal and state laws and enforce safety regulations.
- Compile and submit weekly status reports.
- Versed in local and state OSHA safety requirements also a plus.
- Must be available to work long shifts in adverse conditions (heat, rain, nights and weekends) as required to meet contract deliverables.
- Complete inspection checks on work performed in all of our facilities.
- Fire and safety inspections in all facilities that we maintain.
- Building inspections for deficiencies in all of our facilities.
- Personnel tool inventory to be performed quarterly with all our technicians.
- Process auditing to ensure that processes are being kept in alignment with our SOP.
- Fleet vehicle safety inspections performed monthly to ensure all employees are safe.
- Inspections of all SAP locations.
- Ability to perform incident investigations and fill out proper documents.
- Must be able to acquire PPE quotes to include ordering
Basic Qualifications:
- US Citizen
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age
- Valid state driver's license
- Must submit to pass a DHS Position of Public Trust Background Investigation
Desired Qualifications:
- Must be able to read and write English and be able to understand procedures.
- Must have 5 years in experience in safety and environment.
- Must be able to communicate the English language effectively, both orally and written.
- Knowledge of OSHA and NFPA regulations.
- Ability to process and identify code violations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
- Ability to do scheduled after hours duty.
- Ability to complete OSHA 300 Log.
- Must be able to work with others and be professional at times.
