WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full time Construction Project Manager for El Paso Texas office.Â
Be involved in projects with our Construction Management Team and be a part of a growing organizationÂ
that meets our clients’ objectives and solves their challenges. Â
The Construction Project Manager will assist the WSP Construction Management Local Business Lead,Â
providing expert advice on local strategic Construction Management business developmentÂ
opportunities. Â In addition, for new projects he will provide oversight throughout the implementationÂ
phase of the project, focusing on coordinating schedules, reviewing constructability, monitoring costs,Â
and ensuring that the project aligns with the client's goals to guide the project towards successfulÂ
completion within budget and timeframe.Â
Your Impact
Business Development:Â
- Identify potential new markets and client segments within the region.Â
- Monitor local and regional construction projects for potential opportunities.Â
- Network with industry professionals at conferences, events, and through professionalÂ
associations. Â - Conduct client presentations to showcase company capabilities and value proposition.Â
- Gather project opportunities requirements and develop, with others, comprehensive proposals,Â
including pricing and project timelines. Â - Collaborate with internal teams like estimating, design, and project management to ensureÂ
accurate proposal details. Â - Support contact negotiations with clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements.Â
- Maintain ongoing relationships with existing clients to foster repeat business and referrals.Â
Pre-construction phase:Â
- Assist in site selection and feasibility analysisÂ
- Conduct constructability reviews of design documentsÂ
- Provide cost estimating and budget developmentÂ
- Help with bid package preparation and contractor selectionÂ
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other consultantsÂ
Construction phase:Â
- Monitor project progress against schedule and budgetÂ
- Identify and manage potential risks
- Review change orders and recommend approvalsÂ
- Oversee quality control and safety complianceÂ
- Facilitate communication between the owner, design team, and contractorsÂ
- Conduct regular site visits and progress meetingsÂ
- Analyze project data to identify cost-saving opportunitiesÂ
- Provide recommendations for project adjustments as neededÂ
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and proceduresÂ
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needsÂ

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experienceÂ
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant construction experience, State of Texas Professional EngineersÂ
license - Deep understanding of construction practices, building codes, and project delivery methodsÂ
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsÂ
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverseÂ
stakeholders - Proven experience in construction management, preferably with a focus on ownerÂ
representation Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safetyÂ
and drug/alcohol and harassment policies ÂÂ
