Our market knowledge, cross-border partnerships, export services, and professional bilingual team have helped make Economy Wholesale Grocers the regional leader in wholesale commerce, serving the U.S. and Mexico.  What we are looking for A highly motivated individual who provides outstanding customer service and receives payment in the form of cash, checks, and credit cards from customers and/or employees in exchange for goods or services. Maintain accurate cash control over the register drawer. Manage returns and refunds as necessary. Duties and Responsibilities: Greets customers in a courteous and professional manner, by name when possible. Operates cash register and scans merchandise accurately and in a timely manner.  Receives payment from customers and/or employees; accurately issues change as needed; issues receipts. Refunds cash or issues credit to customers for returned merchandise.   Reconciles cash register tape with cash and receipts on hand at end of shift. Maintains assigned aisles on assigned days. Maintains displays in surrounding area neatly organized when needed. Maintains work area clean and disinfected. Follows all policies and procedures for card, check, and cash payments. Performs other related duties as assigned by management or supervisors. Qualifications: Excellent customer service skills. Ability to maintain a friendly demeanor when working under pressure. Working knowledge of payment methods. Proficiency with high volumes of cash.  Creative, flexible, and innovative team player  Bilingual skills are a plus. High School diploma or equivalent. 2 years of cashiering experience Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.  Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.  Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
