Front Desk Supervisor
Hyatt House LAX/Manhattan Beach is seeking a motivated and experienced Front Desk Supervisor to join our hospitality team.Â

The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily front desk operations while ensuring exceptional guest service, quality, and sustainability standards are consistently maintained.
Essential Job Functions
- Supervise, interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support front desk associates, ensuring performance aligns with established hotel and brand standards and HHM core values.
- Address and resolve guest complaints and concerns by thoroughly evaluating each situation and determining appropriate solutions.
- Monitor guest satisfaction scores and implement strategies to improve departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
- Oversee front office operations in the absence of the Front Office Manager or General Manager.
- Welcome guests upon arrival, complete registration, and assign guest rooms.
- Provide guests with welcome materials, room keys, certificates, coupons, and refreshment center keys as applicable.
- Process guest bills and payments, handle cash accurately, and provide appropriate change.
- Complete guest account settlements at check-out and address dissatisfaction by finding appropriate resolutions, including authorizing revenue adjustments when necessary.
- Develop and implement specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely action plans to address guest service deficiencies.
- Ensure the hotel entrance, front desk, reception area, and other public spaces are clean, organized, and well maintained.
- Follow safe work practices, use required protective equipment, and comply with applicable MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Position Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of related hospitality or front desk experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and guest service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hotel environment.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Schedule may vary and may include mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to push, lift up to 25 pounds, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed.
- Ability to maintain a professional and welcoming presence while interacting with guests and team members.
