Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role


  • Execute system solution     roadmap that helps Infineon achieve the goal to be market leader in AI datacenter and Telecom solution provider, including application notes,  solution boards, application block diagrams, system value propositions,   tech notes, and simulation models
  • Lead the     conceptualization, design and validation of state-of-the-art power  electronics subsystems tailored for high-density AI accelerators,   including custom DC-DC power converters and highly dynamic power supply   architectures. Focus on high efficiency, high density designs capable of  sustaining the high transient power demands inherent to AI inference and     training tasks.  
  • Explore novel DC/DC power   onversion methods such as resonant converters, wide-bandgap     semiconductors (e.g., GaN, SiC), and HV-IBC architectures to push the  envelope of AI infrastructure.  
  • Evaluate and describe     system architecture and application requirements for Telecom and Server  power supplies.  
  • Carry out research and     study systems being sold on the market to understand topology, content and  key technical issues. Perform teardowns.  
  • Define quantifiable     technical value propositions and collaterals on application level and evaluate new solutions such as GaN.  
  • Be responsible for system     concept verification and design-in collaterals, including concept evaluation designs and technical customer support on application level     where needed.  
  • Conduct technical  trainings on system level with internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Collaborate with the  Digital Marketing team for proper system solution positioning, system block representation and creation on the Infineon website, ensuring ease  of searchability and understanding of solutions for Infineon's customers.  
  • Provide technical inputs     to customer proposals (RFIs/RFQs), contributing to digital and analog  controllers and power stage product feature definition.  
  • Occasional travel,  approximately 25% of the time, for customer meetings.

Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed 


  • M.S. in EE with a minimum of 12 years of experience or B.S. in EE with a minimum of 15 years of experience in power electronics with emphasis on isolated/non-isolated DC/DC power converters.
  • Should have extensive knowledge of DC-DC converter topologies, magnetic components and power semiconductor characteristics.
  • Experience developing DC/DC power converter solutions including concept, block diagrams, simulation, schematic, PCB layout and board level debugging, test and validation.
  • Experience using simulation and PCB design tools.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers in the team, providing training on power electronics topics and conducting design reviews before release.
  • Good communication skills in both verbal and written English.
  • Desired Skills:
  • Experience in using digital and analog controllers and gate drivers for power management (Si and GaN).
  • Experience in magnetics design and optimization.
  • Experience with safety and EMI compliance.
  • An advanced degree or doctorate in electrical engineering, power electronics or a related technical field.
  • Profound expertise in telecom brick designs, rack power supplies and Artificial Intelligence.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Application Engineering or System Engineering, ideally at an OEM, Tier 1 or Engineering Service Provider.
