Role Overview

Sodexo Energy and Resource is seeking a Project Manager 2 - Construction to support a large, national energy account in El Segundo, California. This position will exclusively support projects and project managers in our national portfolio of work for a single client. Sodexo provides our corporate service partners with a diverse range of food services and integrated facilities management possibilities. From restaurants to delivery options, to streamlined operations and cutting-edge technology, Sodexo creates a safe, vibrant, and eco-friendly workplace.    

 

**This will be a temporary position with the possibility to transition to a permanent role at a later date. 

What You'll Do

  • Develop project schedules and execute according to plan for assigned projects. 
  • Evaluate the contractual scope of work and the impact of client issued bulletins, field directives and/or scheduling changes.
  • Actively pursue additional work through change orders.
  • Perform associated cost estimates, prepare proposals, and negotiate final settlement price and customer acceptance. 
  • Effectively communicate project progress, issues, and financial status to management as required. 
  • Develop and maintain viable long-term relationships with consultants, prime contractors, and subcontractors.  
  • Attend and lead job progress meetings as required.

What You Bring

  • Experience within new construction, renovations, MEP infrastructure, and working in critical environments preferred
  • Strong Personal Computer working capabilities in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Writer, Visio, and basic Windows environment) as well as MS project, Procore and Bluebeam preferred
  • OSHA 30 (or the ability to gain certification within 120 days of hire)
  • Ability to embrace ambiguity and work effectively in environments with undefined processes

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Minimum Management Experience - 5 years
