About Radiant

Radiant is an El Segundo, CA-based startup building the world’s first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. The company’s first reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt, fail-safe microreactor that can be transported anywhere power is needed and run for up to 5 years without refueling. Portable nuclear power with rapid-deploy capability can replace similar-sized diesel generators and provide critical asset support for hospitals, data centers, remote sites, and military bases. Radiant’s unique, practical approach to nuclear development leverages modern software engineering to rapidly deliver safe, factory-built microreactors that use existing, well-qualified materials. Founded in 2020, Radiant is on track to test its first reactor at the Idaho National Laboratory this summer, with initial customer deliveries beginning in 2028.

About the Role

We're building a new team to own Radiant's internal data infrastructure, executive analytics, and AI capabilities. As a Staff Data Platform Engineer, you'll be hands-on building the integrations and pipelines that connect Radiant's operational systems—Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Recruiting—into a unified data platform.

Your first priority will be the ION-Ramp integration: building the pipeline that enables three-way matching (PO + Receipt + Invoice) between our manufacturing execution system and payments platform. This directly reduces manual work for the Finance team. From there, you'll expand to connect 9 enterprise systems, build dbt transformation models, and ensure data quality across the platform.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Build integrations: Configure Fivetran connectors, build custom pipelines, and connect 9 enterprise systems (ION, Ramp, QuickBooks, Rippling, Ashby, Salesforce, SharePoint, Smartsheet, DocuSign)

  • Develop the ION-Ramp pipeline: Build the Snowflake → Databricks → Ramp pipeline that enables three-way matching for Finance

  • Write dbt models: Transform raw data into clean, documented, tested models for dashboards and analytics

  • Ensure data quality: Implement testing, monitoring, and alerting for data pipelines; catch issues before they reach dashboards

  • Support dashboards: Work with the PM and stakeholders to ensure the data models support Finance, Operations, and HR/Recruiting dashboards

  • Document everything: Maintain clear documentation for pipelines, models, and data definitions

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5+ years of data engineering or software engineering experience

  • Python and SQL proficiency—you'll write both daily

  • Experience with data warehouses—Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift

  • ETL/ELT pipeline development—Fivetran, Airbyte, Stitch, or custom pipeline experience

  • API integration experience—REST, GraphQL; you're comfortable reading API docs and building integrations with enterprise SaaS tools

  • Data modeling skills—dimensional modeling, schema design, understanding of how data will be used downstream

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Background in hardware or hardtech companies—you understand manufacturing, supply chain, and physical product development

  • Experience with dbt (data build tool)

  • Experience with data quality frameworks and testing (Great Expectations, dbt tests, etc.)

  • Comfortable building lightweight internal tools—Python/Flask, basic frontend—or using AI coding assistants (Cursor, Copilot) to extend your capabilities

  • Familiarity with MES, ERP, or supply chain systems (ION, SAP, NetSuite, etc.)

About the role

Radiant is seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead our service delivery function as we scale from a high-growth startup to a multi-site enterprise nuclear operator. The candidate will be directly responsible for the team, systems, and processes that ensure every employee across our California, Idaho, and Tennessee sites has what they need to operate securely and effectively from Day 1. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable managing a support team, owning a $1M+ asset inventory, and driving IT infrastructure projects for new facility buildouts. This role requires close collaboration with IT architecture, security, and HR teams across a fast-moving, compliance-sensitive environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage and mentor the IT Support team, including Helpdesk Associates and Leads, and set clear KPIs for ticket resolution, service quality, and user satisfaction.

  • Own the service desk platform (e.g., Freshservice, Jira Service Management) and design workflows that automate routine requests and surface team performance data.

  • Build and maintain an internal and user-facing Knowledge Base that converts tribal knowledge into repeatable, documented processes.

  • Own the end-to-end Joiner-Mover-Leaver process with a goal of 100% "Ready Day 1" status for all new hires across all sites.

  • Manage $1M+ in hardware assets with a rigorous tracking system for laptops, mobile devices (MDM), and peripherals across CA, ID, and TN.

  • Oversee licensing and procurement across our core SaaS stack, including Microsoft Gov, Zoom Gov, and Slack Gov.

  • Serve as IT project coordinator for upcoming office relocations and the Tennessee Site-K factory buildout.

  • Standardize and manage Zoom Government conference room environments for reliable, one-tap operation across all high-stakes meetings.

  • Manage vendor relationships and lead procurement for IT hardware and operational software.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT

  • 2+ years in a formal management or team lead role within Support Operations or a Service Desk environment

  • Proven experience scaling an IT organization from ~100 to 300+ employees in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated success managing physical IT projects such as office moves, network cabling oversight, or large-scale hardware refreshes

  • Strong working knowledge of Identity Providers, including Okta or Entra ID

  • Experience with MDM solutions such as Kandji, Jamf, or Intune

  • Strong bias toward automation — consistently looks for opportunities to eliminate manual work using tools like Tines or native workflow engines.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working within compliant environments such as CMMC, NIST 800-171, or SOC 2

  • Familiarity with government-tier SaaS platforms (Microsoft Gov, Zoom Gov, Slack Gov)

  • Experience supporting IT operations across multiple geographic sites

  • Experience with procurement and vendor management for hardware and software

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to accomplish our mission

  • Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo HQ

  • This position requires the ability to work in the United States and eligibility for access to export-controlled information under ITAR/EAR.
