About Franklin Educational Services
Franklin Educational Services offers personalized, one-on-one academic support and executive functioning coaching tailored for students with different learning styles, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, dyslexia, and anxiety. We emphasize building strong relationships to help students develop confidence, independence, and achieve lasting academic success.
Position Overview
We’re continually hiring warm, reliable in-person tutors to work 1:1 with children ages 3–11 in the South Bay. Sessions vary by family needs (after school, weekends, occasional daytime), so this role is ideal for educators who want flexible scheduling and meaningful work.
We’re especially interested in candidates with experience supporting neurodivergent learners (special education, ABA, OT-informed strategies, behavior support, executive functioning, etc.), though it’s not required.
What You’ll Do
Provide 1:1 tutoring for early learners in areas like:
- Pre-literacy and reading foundations (phonemic awareness, decoding, comprehension)
- Early math skills and number sense
- Handwriting/fine-motor support when needed
- Study habits and early executive functioning (routine, attention, transitions)
Use positive reinforcement, structure, and developmentally appropriate, engaging activities
Adapt instruction to the child’s learning profile (including IEP/504 goals when applicable)
Support social-emotional growth alongside academics (confidence, frustration tolerance, flexibility)
Maintain brief session notes and progress updates
Communicate professionally with parents/guardians and the Franklin team

- Warm, patient, energetic, and excellent at building rapport with young children
- Comfortable providing structure (clear expectations, routines, visual supports, etc.)

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree (or currently completing a degree with relevant experience)
