Job Summary


The Software Test Engineer supports the Flight Software Team in analyzing, designing, and testing of software products for Millennium Space Systems. This position will review functional requirements and user stories from the customer and other subsystems, design test plans, write test cases, oversee test strategies and perform testing for assigned applications. This position will also submit and verify defects, maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of Millennium Space Systems software, analyze test results to certify existing functionality and integrations and recommend corrective action upon failures. We are looking for someone who wants to find ways to break our software.

This position's internal job code is Systems Engineer. Our team is currently hiring for Levels 3.

Responsibilities

  • Develop test plans and write test cases

  • Write and run test scripts

  • Debug software and tests, both on real hardware and in an emulated environment

  • Analyze test results to verify its functionality and recommend corrective action upon findings of anomalies

  • Manage the GitLab CI to automatically run the tests

  • Other duties as assigned

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. 

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of software testing experience
  • Experience in writing test documents (test plans/procedures, SQA plans)
  • Experience writing automated tests
  • Experience with Python, C and or C++
  • Experience with git and GitLab
  • Experience with continuous integration
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
  • Experience in designing functional and non-functional test cases that verify requirements and validate functionality
  • Experienced in test result evaluation, reporting and metrics
