The Boeing Defense, Space & Security, in support of the Space, Intelligence, & Weapon Systems division is seeking a Test and Analysis Power Lead to join the team in El Segundo, CA. Boeing's SI&WS organization manages the company's major commercial and government satellite and ground programs for communications, national defense and other missions.

Position Overview:

The Test and Analysis Power Lead will work in a team to plan 24/7 test execution. As the shift leader (2nd shift), they will coordinate the daily tasks of the test team. A leader in troubleshooting and coordinating needs of the team to keep testing on schedule. This person will work under general supervision.

As the Shift Lead for the Power Test group, they coordinate and manage test assignments and needs for Power & Digital Test Technicians. Must be flexible to cover different shifts and support weekends as needed. Gather, monitor and send daily and weekly test status. This person will assist in trouble shooting test set-up, software and equipment for multiple units and with multiple teams. They will coordinate with multiple groups to set-up tests and follow through on test completions including out of sequence anomalies. This individual will be responsible for multiple daily stand-up meetings and the flow down of information. They will be the safety point of contact for people and hardware safety issues, concerns, improvements and implementations; assisting with lab audits, organization, calibrations, procedure updates and 5S. Support multiple engineering assignments and areas as needed.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintains detailed requirements and specifications for various electronic products.

  • Leads and coordinates daily testing and tasks of the test team.

  • Conducts various methods of testing and analysis to support design.

  • Gathers data for technical performance measures and performs basic analysis.

  • Provides basic engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product.

  • Conducts trade studies and literature research to support future product designs.

  • Maintains detailed requirements and specifications for various electronic products.

  • Conducts various methods of testing and analysis to support design.

  • Assists in coordinating the manufacture and assembly of test hardware.

  • Supports test anomalies and identifies solutions to mitigate basic electrical test issues.

  • Identifies solutions to basic problems and supports the development of test processes, methods, and tools.

  • Alerts senior engineers for off-nominal data.

  • Work variable shifts including weekends and evenings

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance post start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 4+ years of technical troubleshooting experience in Test equipment

  • Experience working with Bus and Power Electronics hardware

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience designing, testing, and integrating a digital circuit card assembly

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

  • Experience with circuit design for Space Applications

  • Demonstrates strong analytic and problem solving skills

  • Collaborative teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to work across internal and external organizations

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years' related work experience, 8 years' related work experience, etc.).
