Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Pharmacist, you’ll help our doctors and nurses safely prescribe and dispense medications to help our patients feel better and recover from their illness or injury.Every day you will meticulously review every prescription in your queue for safety, critically assessing for potential drug interactions, correct dosing, patient allergies, or any irregularities. You'll then authorize prescriptions for the pharmacy technician, performing a final check before dispensing medication to the nursing station, ensuring expert oversight in every process.To excel in this role, you must enjoy learning new concepts and researching information in real-time to provide solutions for real people. You should also continually look for ways to go above and beyond for your patients, delivering an exceptional experience along with exceptional care.

  • Coordination of Pharmacy functions for Medications Reconciliation, Renal dosing, Kinetics, IV production including TPN’s, Chemotherapy, Medication verification, Compounding, Automatic Dispensing Cabinets, Patient education and Dispensing of medications
  • If working as Pharmacist Lead in Retail Pharmacy functions would include retail prescriptions, hospice consulting, and oversight of the day to day activities
  • Convey information accurately and efficiently, listens actively and incorporates ideas of others, adapts written and oral style to the audience to enhance understanding
  • Conveys written information and intent in direct, succinct, easy-to-understand fashion; uses good grammar and accurate, appropriate vocabulary; adjusts style and content to audience and circumstance
  • Speak in an easy-to-understand, easily-heard direct manner that reflects clear, organized and reasoned thought, uses language appropriate to audience and situation

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduate of College of Pharmacy
  • Current Minnesota Board of Pharmacy Registration

 

Preferred

  • Three years of experience working in a pharmacy environment
