Job DetailsJob Location: Electra Rehab & Fitness - Electra, TX 76360  Responsible for efficiently and effectively maintaining the rehabilitation department’s scheduling system.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform the scheduling of rehabilitation services. Accurately coordinate and schedule patients for rehabilitation services. Manage appointment calendars to optimize therapist availability and patient access to care. Handle patient requests for appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling, ensuring minimal disruption to therapy services. Communicate and treat patients in professional, honest, fair, and respectful manner at all times. Contact patients to confirm appointment times and provide necessary pre-appointment instructions. Address patient inquiries regarding scheduling, therapy procedures, and service details. Address any scheduling conflicts or issues, working with relevant parties to find suitable solutions. Provide care appropriate for the patients served based on demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. Assess and interpret data on the patient’s status to identify patients’ requirements relative to their age specific needs and provide care needed as stipulated in departmental policy. Serve as a backup to business office personnel. OTHER SIGNIFICANT REQUIREMENTS: Maintain confidentiality on a daily basis. Work well with other employees. Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. Follow standard precautions when providing direct patient care. QualificationsEDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent required. EXPERIENCE: One year experience in scheduling or clerical setting required. One year experience in a rehabilitation setting preferred. PERSONAL JOB-RELATED SKILLS: Knowledge of scheduling services. Strong attention to detail. Effective oral and written communication skills.  Familiar with operating computers and ability to utilize computer systems. LICENSURE, REGISTRY, CERTIFICATIONS: N/A PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Duties of the position require intermittent walking, sitting, and standing. Some bending, stooping, and reaching is required with the lifting/carrying of items on occasion up to 25 pounds. The ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
