Job DetailsJob Location: Electra Rehab & Fitness - Electra, TX 76360   Assists therapists with operations pertaining to patients’ treatment and assists in the cleaning and maintenance of equipment and performs various office related tasks needed within the rehabilitation department.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists therapists in the operations of proving rehabilitation services. Instruct, prepare, and reassure patient of treatment being performed. Assist with scheduling patients. Monitor and ensure patient safety during treatments. Assemble necessary rehabilitation equipment and accessories for treatments. Transport patients to and from department and assigned rooms in a safe manner and notify appropriate personnel. Communicate and treat patients in professional, honest, fair, and respectful manner at all times. Provide care appropriate for the patients served based on demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. Assess and interpret data on the patient’s status to identify patients’ requirements relative to their age specific needs and provide care needed as stipulated in departmental policy. Assist with clerical functions in the department. Gather and provide information as directed. Assist with maintaining patient and department files. Transcribe therapist dictation as directed. Assist in maintaining logs, charge tickets, and reports. Assist in maintaining stock levels of supplies and required equipment. Ensure inventory is adequately stocked with supplies necessary for efficient operation. Perform minor and preventative maintenance on equipment and ensure equipment is properly stored after use. Maintain adequate supply of linen in treatment rooms. Perform the cleaning and sterilization of equipment after use, treatment rooms and work areas. Report equipment problems to Rehabilitation Director. OTHER SIGNIFICANT REQUIREMENTS: Maintain confidentiality on a daily basis. Work well with other employees. Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. QualificationsEDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent required. EXPERIENCE: One year experience in a medical setting preferred. PERSONAL JOB-RELATED SKILLS: Effective oral and written communication skills.  Familiar with operating computers and ability to utilize computer systems.  LICENSURE, REGISTRY, CERTIFICATIONS: N/A PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Duties of the position require extended periods of standing and walking. Repeated bending, stooping and reaching. Pushing and pulling up to 150 pounds and carrying up to 75 pounds. Lifting up to 75 pounds and heavier lifting in transferring or supporting patients who may suddenly become weak or helpless.
