Position Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, company credit card reconciliations, payroll support, and monthly accruals, while providing day-to-day support to the VP of Finance. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  •  Process Accounts Payable, including vendor invoices, payment processing, and vendor statement reconciliations 
  •  Manage Accounts Receivable, including customer invoicing, cash applications, collections, and account reconciliations 
  •  Reconcile company credit card transactions and ensure proper coding and documentation 
  •  Prepare monthly accruals and assist with month-end close activities 
  •  Assist with payroll processing, payroll reporting, and employee timekeeping 
  •  Support staffing activities, including onboarding paperwork, employee records, and recruiting coordination 
  •  Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations 
  •  Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation 
  •  Assist with financial reporting, audits, budgeting, and other projects as assigned by the VP of Finance 
  •  Respond to vendor and customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner 
  •  Perform other accounting and administrative duties as needed 
Qualifications

  •  Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 
  •  3+ years of accounting experience with AP and AR 
  •  Experience with payroll processing 
  •  Understanding of month-end close and accrual accounting 
  •  Strong Microsoft Excel skills 
  •  Experience with ERP/accounting software 
  •  Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills 
  •  Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines 
  •  High level of accuracy and attention to detail 
Preferred Qualifications

  •  Manufacturing accounting experience 
  •  HR or staffing experience 
  •  Inventory accounting experience 
  •  Experience supporting finance leadership
