Job Description

As a Security Officer - Full Time in Elgin, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a premier financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This role offers the chance to support daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while making a meaningful impact each day.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify entry permissions in accordance with site protocols, helping to control access to restricted areas and report suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
• Support daily operations by preparing routine reports, maintaining awareness of site activity, and assisting with requested security-related duties based on the location's needs and conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
