Job DetailsJob Location: Elgin Location - Elgin, IL 60124Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $20.00 - $28.00 HourlyJob Category: WarehouseVerifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. This is a full-time position, M-F, 7:30 – 4:30 pm.    Review and prioritize daily shipping orders when received. Pull all parts as indicated on the shipping orders, assemble and other components if necessary. If required, call the freight carrier indicated on the shipping order and complete any paperwork that the carrier may require. Load and unload trucks as necessary.  Inspect containers and material reporting any damage or missing items noticed.  Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records. Determines method of shipment. Affixes shipping labels on packed boxes. Assembles cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers. Inserts items into containers, binds the container with the appropriate tape. Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, records damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify any shortages.  Routes items to appropriate location. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Make product deliveries to local customers on occasion Other duties as assigned. Qualifications GED; and 6 months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Reads and follow written work instructions Possess strong mathematical skills, Able to measure and read/interpret blueprints when needed Able to use standard hand and power tools Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs. Ability to become forklift certified (we can train) Excellent attention to detail
