Job description:

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our production facility team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for performing, documenting, and scheduling maintenance tasks on manufacturing and support equipment. Your work will directly impact equipment reliability, production efficiency, and overall output.

This position is hands-on and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and document preventative maintenance on equipment and facility systems.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and provide emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using schematics and manuals.
  • Plan, procure, and manage spare parts inventory to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Enforce safety standards and promote safe work practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Train operators on equipment setup, operation, and basic maintenance.
  • Support installation, upgrades, and facility-based engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, inspection, and customer care teams to optimize operations.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or industry certification in an electro-mechanical discipline (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in equipment repair within extrusion, plastic molding, automotive, or industrial settings.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
  • Prior experience with extrusion, plastics, and downstream equipment highly preferred.
  • Comfortable with hands-on work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Availability to work overtime or outside of normal hours as needed for maintenance emergencies.
