JOB SUMMARY: 

With a friendly, upbeat, and positive attitude, supervises food production in the venue.  Ensures product quality and presentation is a surprise and delight to our guests. Provides support and coverage while ensuring all specifications and standards are met. 

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Ensures venue product and dining experience surprises and delights the guests.
  2. Directs and manages line-level employees to achieve budgetary, food quality and customer service expectations.
  3. Ensures excellent kitchen hygiene and sanitary conditions exist at all times.
  4. Leads by creating a positive, supportive work environment.
  5. Establishes leadership, direction, and accountability for all immediate production of food products.
  6. Cross trains those within the department while encouraging, reinforcing, and supporting peers and team.
  7. Assists in the development of the departmental operating budget.
  8. Controls food and labor costs on a continual basis within approved budgetary controls.
  9. Ensures compliance with all regulatory, internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of a culinary arts program preferred.
  • A minimum of four years food preparation in a high-volume establishment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Must demonstrate supervisory skills.
  • Must be able to logically plan work and processes to ensure finished product delivers maximum guest satisfaction.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, teambuilding and problem-solving skills required.
  • Must possess basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Professional appearance and team player required.
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time (minimum of four hours).
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency while performing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the casino; from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
  • Must be able to lift, carry and/or push a minimum of 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, grasp objects and the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.  
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
