The Physical Therapy Aide performs designated routine tasks to the operation of the physical therapy service and may assist the physical therapist in setting up patient for therapy and/or assisting the therapist in carrying out treatment program.

Qualifications / Job Requirements:

  • Possesses either a high school diploma or equivalency.
  • Certification as Nurses Aide required.
  • Must demonstrate ability to follow complex directions.
  • Must have physical strength sufficient to assist patients in completion of rehabilitative therapies such as weight transfer, gait training, etc.
  • Must have ability to communicate with patients and family members in empathetic fashion in support of rehabilitative goals.
