The Physical Therapist organizes and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part; assists patient in reaching his/her maximum performance and functional level as well as teaching compensatory skills to alleviate temporary or permanent loss or incapacitation. Qualifications / Job Requirements:
 

Education / Skills Required / Minimum qualifications:

  • Possession of a B.S. degree in physical therapy and licensure or license eligibility in the State of New York.
  • Requires ability to communicate effectively to patients regarding the anticipated treatment plan, level of patient’s expected participation and expected outcome.
  • Position requires the ability to relate to the public and medical staff as a member of the rehabilitation team.
