Primary Job Functions: Maintaining care and organizing the nursery and associated products (mulch, fertilizer, stone, pavers, landscapingetc.) Offer garden expertise and plant product selection advice Maintain the nursery (watering and trimming) and aisles on a daily basis Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials used in the gardening industry Knowledge in the preparation and application of plants to different soil types and substrates Knowledge in estimating time and material requirements for work projects Customer Service (help customers find what they need in a professional and courteous manner) Secondary Job Functions: Help load merchandise for customers Help check in freight Cleaning and stocking merchandise Updating prices QualificationsQualifications: Good attitude, friendly Retail experience, nursery experience, and landscaping is a plus Ability to operate office machines, computers, and Excel is a plus Knowledge of lawn and garden merchandise Ability and willingness to work flexible hours; including evenings, weekends, and holidays Self-motivated Organized H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred Good physical condition for lifting, watering, and merchandising
