How you’ll make an impact in this role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated NP to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.

  • Join an established, stable and busy Intensivist service of 8 physicians and 8 Nurse Practitioners
  • Mimimum commitment of every 4th weekend night shift (2 shifts/28 days).  Could be 8, 10 or 12 hours as long as it is overnight.  Candidate would have the opportunty to pick up more if desired
  • Assessment and management of ICU patients, participating in multidisciplinary rounds, supporting the rapid response team when called.
  • Procudural experience a plus
  • Practice setting: Inpatient
  • Excellent office support staff
  • Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, with at least 2 years experience preferred but will consider new grads
  • Eligible for state medical license and DEA/Controlled Substance registration

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
  • Registered Nurse preferred.

Education:

  • Master's degree of Nursing required.
