We are looking for a dependable Forklift Operator/Dock Attendant - 2nd Shift who takes pride in being part of a team that keeps local freight moving.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday. 6:00 PM start time.

What You’ll Do

· Safe operation of forklift trucks and pallet jacks in the unloading and loading of freight, including hazardous materials.

· Using safe lifting techniques, efficiently sorting, handling, unloading and loading of freight into/from straight trucks, trailers and containers.

· Complying with all aspects of dock paperwork procedures while moving freight.

· Ensuring that freight moved matches all aspects of the associated paperwork (BOL, invoice) or cross dock.

· Proper marking or re-marking of freight per procedure(s).

· Be an active participant in training and safety programs.

· Adhere to the operational procedures and guidelines as outlined in the procedure manual.

· Pre and post trip inspections on all dock equipment.

· Flexibility to work to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.

· Maintains a clean and orderly work area and safe environment.

· Performs all other duties as assigned or delegated by supervisor, lead or dispatch.

What We’re Looking For

· Forklift truck certified.

· Basic computer skills.

· Basic math skills.

· Ability to work independently and as a team player.

· Ability to work safely, recognize hazards, and adhere to safe work practices.

· Must be flexible and dependable.

· Possess good time management skills and complete all required work within given time frames.
