Salary: $85,000 - 95,000 annually + MyShare Equity Program
Position Summary
The Project Manager – Transformation is a strategic, exempt-level role responsible for leading and executing enterprise-wide operational transformation initiatives across the RJW warehouse network. This position operates with a high degree of autonomy and independent judgment and is directly accountable for translating transformation strategies into executable plans that drive sustainable operational performance.
Unlike traditional coordination or administrative support roles, this position is embedded within RJW Operations and plays a critical role in guiding execution, influencing operational leaders, validating outcomes at the facility level, and ensuring long-term adoption of standardized processes. The Project Manager serves as a key operational partner to senior leadership, SWAT teams, and cross-functional stakeholders, and is responsible for identifying risks, resolving complex execution challenges, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
This role reports to the Senior Director of Transformation and is classified as exempt under applicable California and Illinois wage and hour laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead and manage network-wide transformation initiatives from concept development through implementation and post-launch stabilization.
- Independently develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, milestones, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies aligned with operational goals.
- Exercise discretion and judgment in prioritizing initiatives, sequencing deliverables, and resolving execution challenges.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with enterprise operational and financial objectives.
Operational Influence & Accountability
- Drive accountability across warehouse sites by monitoring execution, identifying deviations, and escalating risks with recommended corrective actions.
- Partner with site leadership and SWAT teams to support operational correction, stabilization efforts, and performance recovery.
- Evaluate facility-level execution and determine whether corrective actions have been effectively implemented and sustained.
- Influence operational decision-making through data-driven insights and professional recommendations.
Process Standardization & Sustainability
- Lead the rollout and adoption of standardized operating processes, including staging lane strategies, quality control processes, reporting enhancements, and SOP updates.
- Develop implementation playbooks, training materials, and rollout frameworks to support consistent execution across the network.
- Conduct post-implementation audits and assessments to validate long-term sustainability and compliance with network standards.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Serve as a primary liaison between RJW functions such as Operations, Retail Consolidation, OP, HR, IT, Analytics, and site leadership.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment by identifying dependencies, resolving conflicts, and coordinating resources.
- Proactively identify roadblocks and independently recommend solutions that balance operational efficiency and organizational priorities.
Reporting, Analytics & Executive Communication
- Design and maintain executive-ready dashboards, project scorecards, and KPI tracking tied to transformation outcomes (e.g., gap time, overtime percentage, productivity, exception reduction).
- Analyze project performance and provide strategic insights, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Prepare materials and summaries for executive reviews, transformation updates, and leadership forums.

- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in managing complex operational initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable operational strategies.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Advanced organizational, planning, and prioritization capabilities.
- Ability to curate and evaluate business requirements for complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and best-practice implementation.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field required.
- Progressive experience in project management, operations, logistics, or transformation roles.
- Experience supporting or leading warehouse or logistics operations strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of SQL, data visualization tools, or analytics platforms preferred.
- Experience with WMS systems (including Synapse or similar platforms) preferred.
- Familiarity with SDLC concepts, process design, and change management principles preferred.
- Experience using Visio or similar process-mapping tools preferred.
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment will range from quiet to moderately loud.
