Deck Ambassador

The Position

The Deck Ambassador is the main point of contact for families at the pool. You will welcome families, assist with check in, answer questions, support instructors, and help each shift run smoothly.

You will also maintain a safe, clean, and organized pool environment while providing strong customer service.

As a key member of our poolside team, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming, and well-organized experience for every swimmer and family. Your responsibilities will include:

- Arriving 30 minutes before lessons to prepare the pool area for a successful day
- Setting up swim equipment, signs, attendance materials, and the family welcome area
- Checking and recording pool temperature and chemical readings
- Greeting families warmly and helping students check in
- Tracking attendance and keeping student records accurate
- Answering questions about schedules, payments, makeup lessons, and program policies
- Helping new families feel comfortable and understand what to expect
- Sharing schedule updates and customer concerns with management
- Assisting with enrollment and class scheduling when needed
- Organizing and returning equipment after lessons

Completing closing duties so the pool area is ready for the next session

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Dependable, organized, and punctual
• Comfortable speaking with parents, children, and staff
• Basic computer and mobile device skills
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as scheduled

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, hospitality, childcare, recreation, or aquatics
• Experience working with children and families
• Familiarity with scheduling or customer management systems
