Elko - Warehouse Planner

Position Description:

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Warehouse Planner with our Supply Chain team. The successful candidate manages all kitting requirements for the sites and works closely with Site Material Planners/Buyers to ensure kits are completed and sent to sites prior to require by dates.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Planner is responsible for the following:

• Complies with safety requirements promoting the company’s safety culture, including training of others as assigned, clearly stating safety expectations, ensure unsafe events are reviewed in a timely manner and 100% compliance with all Nevada Gold Mines and governmental regulations

• Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and customer service through excellence in managing kitting reports, identifying issues and communicating to sites as needed. 

• Ensure daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations.

• Responsible to help maintain high service levels

• Run and manage reports for all outstanding open orders

• Organize and maintain work areas, ensure workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards

• Maintain a high level of accuracy in work

• Identify potential cataloging opportunities and submit required forms to Inventory Control 

• Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems 

• Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports for efficient warehouse management

• Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative work procedures and practices

• Confer and coordinate activities with other crews and departments

• Wear safety PPE at all times

Qualifications:

• Warehousing or materials background in the mining industry preferred 

• One (1) to three (3) years of warehousing experience preferred  

• Self-motivated and ability to work with little supervision

• Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data

• Hands-on commitment to getting the job done

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Valid Driver’s License required 

• Receiving and/or Supply Chain experience preferred 

• Experience using ERP computer programs and bar coding preferred 

• Computer knowledge in Microsoft Office required 

• Certificate in forklift operation preferred 

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations required 

• Proven safe work record required 

• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision required 

• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions required 

• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people required 

• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job required
