The Applications Engineer is responsible for coordinating and leveraging The Hobbs & Associates brand, support groups and product partners to accurately communicate pricing and functional deliverables of all represented products to customers.Â

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops general working knowledge of Hobbs & Associates products and solutions.Â
- Develops positive relationships with product representatives, Hobbs & Associates leadership and employee teams.Â
- Creates partnerships with salespeople and customers to identify and create high-value deliverables.Â
- Manages technical questions and communicates accurate and timely client responses.Â
- Periodically performs facility walkthroughsÂ
- Interprets construction plans and design specifications to understand project constraints to product applicationsÂ
- Prepares system layout as requiredÂ
- Generates timely and accurate product estimates and client proposalsÂ
- Reviews proposals with salespeople and customersÂ
- Provides best-in-class and on-time project fulfilment support for all products sold.Â
- Coordination and delivery of product submittalsÂ
- Communicates responses to questions associated with development of an approved submittalÂ
- Champion equipment orders and schedule coordinationÂ
- Follow through of product change requirements throughout the fulfilment processÂ
 Experience and Requirements:
- Bachelors of Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree in a technical or business-related field is preferredÂ
- 2+ years application engineering and/or account management and/or sales/leadership experience; or equivalent experience within the HVAC, Mechanical Contracting, Engineering or Construction industry.Â
- Excellent oral/written communication skillsÂ
- Excellent customer relations skillsÂ
- Ability to travel within a locally defined region at least 10% of the timeÂ
- Ability to function independently, with excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines including project bid and submittal schedules.Â
