Crafted Highlights:    

In the role of Temporary Safety and Security officer role in Elkton, VA, you will fill in for our permanent staff as needed.  Must be flexible and available to work 12hr shifts (6am-6pm or 6pm-6am) under general supervision at the Shenandoah Brewery.  Salary $24.50/hr., no benefits provided 

  

What You’ll Be Brewing:  

  • You demonstrate understanding and follow compliance with governmental rules, regulations, policies, and programs related to safety and security in addition to: 
  • Monitoring building and grounds to determine and identify security issues and potentially hazardous conditions or safety violations: 
  • Perform periodic inspections of building, grounds, and equipment for hazardous conditions and/or safety violations: 
  • Provide emergency medical attention and hazardous response support as required 
  • Assists in responding to and/or investigating concerns/complaints from team members and assists in taking appropriate action; and 
  • Assists in investigations, accidents or injuries that occur in the workplace. 

 

Key Ingredients:  

  • High School diploma or equivalency. 
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in safety, security, or emergency response role or similar function. 
  • You are 21+ years of age and meet criminal background screening requirements. 
  • Acceptable training in the field of occupational security, safety and/or health. 
  • First Responder or Emergency Medical Technician certification. 
  • Firm knowledge of company and governmental safety and environmental policies and regulations. 
  • Perform under stressful situations while dealing with the public and team members in a calm, courteous and/or firm manner when necessary. 
  • Intermediate and/or advance skills in computer applications such as e-mail, calendar, spreadsheets, and word processing in performing work assignments.
