Role Overview
The Facilities Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of all building systems at MNAe MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain - Savannah. Working closely with security, maintenance staff, and production teams, this role ensures that all facilities-including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems-are functioning reliably and in compliance with regulatory standards. The Assistant Manager leads preventive and corrective maintenance programs, manages facility-related projects such as renovations and equipment installations, and oversees vendor relationships and contracted services. Additional responsibilities include developing facility budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities, conducting safety inspections, and supervising a team of specialists and technicians. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and multitasking skills to support a clean, safe, and efficient manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

- Manage daily operations of the manufacturing facility, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbingÂ
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtimeÂ
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure facility readiness and support for manufacturing processesÂ
- Lead facility-related projects such as expansions, renovations, and equipment installationsÂ
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines; manage contractors and vendorsÂ
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA)Â
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and mitigate risksÂ
- Develop and manage the facilities budget, including utilities, maintenance, and capital expendituresÂ
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through energy efficiency and process improvements • Supervise and develop a team of specialists and techniciansÂ
- Provide training, performance evaluations, and support for career developmentÂ
- Manage relationships with external service providers and contractorsÂ
- Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements are met

Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Facilities Management, or a related fieldÂ
- 5+ years of experience in facilities management within a manufacturing environmentÂ
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and regulatory compliance.Â
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Â
- Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Basic HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and OSHA

Preferred Education & Experience:
•10+ years of experience in facilities management within a manufacturing environment
•Experience planning and maintaining facility budgets
•Experience managing facility systems such as HVAC and Electrical distribution in a manufacturing setting
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and facility management software
•Experience with energy management systems •Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Project Management Professional (PMP)

- Approximately 20% office-based tasks, 40% indoor facility work, and 40% outdoor work
- Frequent physical activity including standing, walking, and climbing ladders or stairs
- Regular use of hand and power tools for maintenance and repair tasks
- Availability for overtime and on-call duties as needed
- Movement between office spaces and buildings within the facility
- Travel between work locations in Richmond Hill, Savannah, and Ellabell, GA as required
- Responsible for maintaining the factory building and surrounding auxiliary structures and equipment, with duties not limited to these areas
