Inventory Assistant Manager (2nd Shift)(CC)

The Operations Assistant Manager will assist in overseeing all activities related to Glovis Consolidation Center (CC) operations. The Operations Assistant Manager will provide leadership and guidance to Glovis EV staff and ensure that customer satisfaction is met and exceeded. The Operations Assistant Manager will be a key player in enforcing compliance of safety standards and leading operational planning and KPI development, while promoting operational efficiency and the timely flow of customer services.

 

Department: Consolidation Center/Operations

Reports to: Operations Assistant Manager

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2nd Shift (Expected from 2:00PM-10:30PM) (Rotating weekends and overtime may be required) (Schedule is subject to change based on production requirements)

Location: Onsite, Ellabell, GA 31308 (Must have the ability to commute within the neighboring facilities for meetings, events, etc.)


Please be advised that all 2nd Shift personnel will be trained during 1st Shift hours (6:00 AM-3:00 PM) until transitioning to 2nd Shift hours starting in Spring 2026.

 

Responsibilities for an Inventory Assistant Manager:

  • Lead inventory control operations by managing cycle counting programs, stock audits, and location accuracy to maintain high inventory integrity across warehouse, production materials, and inbound/outbound logistics.
  • Provide leadership with effective engagement by coordinating team efforts to achieve KPI goals in areas such as Safety, Quality, Productivity, Customer Experience, Employee Engagement and Cost.
  • Develop and monitor inventory performance KPIs, including inventory accuracy, stock discrepancies, adjustment trends, and FIFO, providing clear analysis and recommendations.
  • Ensure system integrity within WMS/ERP platforms by auditing transactions, validating inventory movements, and enforcing SOPs related to receiving, storage, picking and shipping activities.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances by conducting root cause analysis, coordinating with operations teams, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy within the WMS/ERP system by monitoring transactions, auditing processes, and ensuring compliance with company inventory control standards and SOPs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing inventory discrepancies, improving stock visibility, and enhancing inventory processes through automation, reporting tools, and standardized workflows.
  • Oversee daily inventory operations including cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and systems updates to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team collaboration and communication across all areas of operations.
  • Establish, implement, and enforce all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Consolidation Center (CC) operations.
  • Communicate effectively with the customer by relaying issues and acting as a liaison between supporting vendors and upper management.
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate employee performance and engage in employee development by providing feedback and coaching.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications for an Inventory Assistant Manager: 

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, or related field is preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a fast-paced logistics assembly production environment required.
  • At least 8 years of logistics, warehousing, distribution, or relevant field
  • High volume inventory movement/management is required
  • Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel as well as basic office software (printer, scanner, PC, etc.) is required
  • Ideal strengths for this position include a bias for action, detail oriented & date driven, fast paced, and the ability to multitask under pressure

Physical Demands for an Inventory Assistant Manager:

  • Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
  • Ability to bend, turn, and use peripherals as required to operate equipment safely within company standard operator procedures. 
  • Able to operate heavy machinery including a forklift, tugger, and/or stock chaser.
  • Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing up to 50 lbs., depending on the location, throughout shift.
  • Able to work in a warehouse environment for up to 8-hour shifts, and any overtime hours if applicable.

 

This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including a laptop computer and cell phone. The employee is generally required to spend long periods of time sitting, typing, and working at a computer. May require the ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and transport items. The estimated base salary range for the Operations Assistant Manager is $86,000-$90,000. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
