Summary:
The Quality Analytical Technician is responsible for supporting product quality assurance through advanced inspection, analytical testing, and routine quality checks across manufacturing operations. This role serves as a technical specialist for SEM, ICP-OES or CT analysis, UTM Instron and laboratory-based evaluations, while also performing production-level quality inspections and documentation.  The position bridges hands-on quality inspection and advanced failure analysis and contributes to root cause analysis, supports corrective actions, and ensures ongoing conformance to internal quality standards, customer requirements, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and advanced quality inspections on in-process and finished products to verify conformance to specifications
- Independently conduct the analytical equipment including SEM, ICP-OES or CT analysis, UTM Instron and related laboratory tools for material, defect, and failure analysis
- Assist in root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D) under guidance of Quality Engineers
- Document inspection results, analytical findings, and quality assurance activities in detailed reportsÂ
- Generating detailed quality reports as necessary
- Identify visual, dimensional, and material-related defects and support quality disposition decisionsÂ
- Support corrective and preventive actions by collecting data, validating results, and verifying effectiveness
- Utilize quality gauges, measurement tools, and inspection devices accurately and consistently
- Support scrap, rework, and yield improvement initiatives through data collection and analysis
- Maintain proper handling, care, and calibration awareness of analytical and inspection equipment
- Follow all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies, including cleanroom and lab safety requirements
- Support quality documentation needs for audits, internal reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with Quality Engineers, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to support product and process quality
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work environments at all times
- Fulfill other quality or laboratory-related duties as assignedÂ

Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering Technology, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience
- Team members must be able to work scheduled shifts, overtime as required, and maintain dependable attendance in accordance with company attendance policies.

Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience at Chemist/Analytic Technician or equivalent advanced analytical role
- Demonstrated reliable work history and consistent attendance in prior employment
- Hands-on experience operating and interpreting result in SEM, ICP-OES, or CT equipment
- Experience performing quality inspections, defect identification, and report documentation
- Analytical experience in EV battery, chemical processing, or high-volume production environments is a strong plus

Skills:
- Ability to operate and interpret results from CT, SEM, and laboratory inspection equipment independently
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify visual, dimensional, and material defects
- Proficiency in basic data analysis, documentation, and report writing
- Familiarity with quality tools, gauges, and measurement devices
- Working knowledge of SPC, quality checks, and structured problem-solving concepts
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in math, reading, and technical writing
- Ability to follow standardized procedures and work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail while monitoring automated equipment in a continuous production environment

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for a period of up to 12 hours:
- Safety glasses
- Steel-toed shoes
- Nitrile gloves
- Ear protection
- Cleanroom suit
Must be able to perform the following activities repeatedly for periods of up to 12 hours:
- Lift, push, and pull materials or equipment
- Stoop, twist, and bend
- Reach overhead
- Sit and/or stand for extended periods
- Use hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, and computer systems

Work Environment:Â
- Work may involve handling or working in proximity to hazardous materials and regulated industrial chemicals.
- Exposure to chemical vapors, dust, or other controlled substances may occur depending on process assignment.
- Strict adherence to company safety policies and OSHA Hazard Communication requirements is mandatory.
- Employees must properly wear and maintain assigned personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times within designated areas.
- Required PPE may include respirators, chemical-resistant garments, gloves, eye protection, face shields, or other equipment determined by process and risk assessment.
