Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the store’s Home and Electronics departments to achieve desired sales objectives, goals and budgets. Responsible for staffing the departments and developing associates to achieve desire results. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the Home and Electronics departments meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness and cleanlinessÂ
- Interview, select and hire candidates to staff the Home and Electronics departmentsÂ
- Train associates on all functions and duties within the Home and Electronics departmentsÂ
- Achieve/exceed weekly, period and annual sales, wage budgets and other targeted goals, including customer satisfactionÂ
- Lead the teams in the planning, implementation and execution of company initiativesÂ
- Demonstrate creative merchandising for maximum sales impactÂ
- Monitor and control expenses for the departmentÂ
- Maintain all shrink control, freight receiving/stocking and shipping/receiving standardsÂ
- Utilize MAGIC system to maintain ordering and stock levelsÂ
- Manage markdown process following company guidelinesÂ
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditionsÂ
- Physical demands include, but are not limited to, lifting up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds several times throughout the day, standing for extended periods of time and/or walking constantly, and stooping, kneeling or crouching several times per hourÂ
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reportsÂ

Qualifications
Minimum
- High school diploma or equivalentÂ

- Prior experience in the selection and hiring processÂ
- Forklift certificationÂ
