Job DetailsJob Location: Cherry Hill, NJ 08002Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $160,000.00 - $185,000.00 Salary/yearPOSITION SUMMARY:                                                              The successful candidate’s principal responsibilities will include but not be limited to strong leadership and management skill set, with a focus on operational efficiency, financial performance, and team development. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven ability to drive growth and profitability. The General Manager role is key to the successful operation of the property.  A successful GM needs to be strategic, fluid and TEAM centered.  Oversee the day-to-day operations of an enclosed shopping center, implementing programs that promote productive, profitable tenants. Deliver a clean, safe, and enjoyable shopping experience by maintaining high operational standards, optimizing contracted services, and managing preventative maintenance, energy use, and capital planning. Manage and optimize the physical assets and overall performance of the property to achieve maximum net operating income. Professionally represent the company while building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective tenants, as well as local community and government organizations. Foster positive tenant relations by proactively addressing concerns and conducting both formal and informal tenant meetings. Collaborate with Leasing and Business Development teams to develop and execute effective leasing strategies. Lead the recruitment, training, development, and retention of a high-performing on-site team; oversee employee performance and staffing decisions. Supervise all on-site personnel, including property management staff, operations, maintenance, security, and housekeeping teams. Manage and monitor the performance of all on-site contractors. Ensure compliance with tenant obligations, including accounts receivable, incident reporting, insurance requirements, and sales reporting, in coordination with on-site and corporate teams. Partner with the Security Services Provider to implement a customized safety, security, and Emergency Procedure Management (EPM) program. Support tenant coordination efforts and collaborate with local permitting agencies to prevent construction delays and exceed rent commencement dates (RCD). Oversee sourcing and procurement activities to support efficient operations. Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets, including ongoing forecasting and adjustments. Review accounts receivable regularly to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances. Maintain oversight of financial reporting, including monthly sales, weekly payables, and payroll approvals. Perform additional duties as assigned by the VP of Property Management, VP of Property Operations, and Executive Leadership Team. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications or finance preferred Three to five years of experience in Shopping Center Management or Commercial Real Estate Management Combination of equivalent education and experience necessary to effectively perform the responsibilities of the position Managerial experience in a shopping center or other property management preferred. Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) preferred and actively involved in ICSC functions or other commercial real estate certifications. Real Estate license for the state you operate in is preferred. Strategic thinker Ability to adapt to changing work environment Good working knowledge of budgeting, accounting and financial analysis Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Paycom, JDE, AVID Exchange, Concur, and Yardi preferred but not necessary Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of management, staff, business representatives and the public Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
