QualificationsResponsibilities Respond to all maintenance requests by guests, employees, and supervisors Maintain, repair, and overhaul equipment and property. Report problems to General Manager. Paint walls, ceiling, fixtures, building, and equipment to prevent corrosion. Hang wall fixtures, replace light bulbs and filters, and shampoo carpets. Make local deliveries and pick-ups. Maintain inventory of tools and supplies. Maintain parking lot, pool (if applicable), and grounds areas according to established quality standards. Work in accordance with General Manager to set up and complete special and on-going projects and maintains a preventative maintenance program. Conduct routine inspections of hotel and determine maintenance needs. Maintain all sidewalks and keep them clean and clear of debris and/or snow and ice. Responsible for recording and implementing of key control policies, practices, and procedures. Keep current on all information pertaining to any equipment or machinery on property. Additional duties as assigned. Requirements: Basic knowledge of, and experience with carpentry, plumbing, mechanical repair, painting and HVAC systems preferred. Ability to appropriately assign/delegate work and authority to others in the accomplishment of goals. Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality and applies feedback to improve performance. Ability to show flexibility in response to change and adapt to and accommodate new methods and procedures. Knowledge of safety management principles; federal and state OSHA regulations. Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience, whether oral or written. Ability to develop and evaluate alternative courses of action; make decisions based on correct assumptions concerning resources and guidelines; define and implements solutions to problems; and recognize when no action is required. Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work and on time. Will require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business needs.
