About the Role:
Stony MFG is looking for a skilled Machine Parts Deburr Specialist to join our manufacturing team in Elma, NY. This is a hands-on role where precision and quality are at the heart of everything you do. Responsibilities:
- Perform deburring, finishing, and edge-breaking on machined metal parts to meet quality specifications
- Use hand tools, files, abrasives, and deburring equipment to remove burrs and sharp edges
- Inspect finished parts for conformance to dimensional and surface finish requirements
- Operate bench grinders, rotary tools, and other mechanical deburring equipment as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and part drawings
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with shop standards
- Communicate quality issues or defects to supervisors and quality control personnel
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, machining, or metal fabrication environment preferred
- Familiarity with deburring techniques, hand tools, and finishing equipment
- Ability to read basic blueprints and work orders
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented shop environment
- High school diploma or GED preferred
