Job Description

About The Site

The Grays Harbor Energy Center is a 2X1 combined cycle power generation facility using GE’s 7FA gas turbine platform and GE D-11 Steam Turbine. The facility is located in Elma, Washington (approximately 40 miles from Olympia, WA). 

Position Overview

The O&M Technician provides the organization with a knowledgeable, multi-skilled, troubleshooting expert who operates and maintains a 600 MW combined cycle power station.  This position requires highly flexible individuals that work various shift schedules in a Team environment performing various team support functions.

Responsibilities

  • The O&M Technician will be a team player performing operations, maintenance, and technical support to achieve safe, cost-effective operation and maintenance of the Grays Harbor Energy Center.
  • Operate the facility during start-up, shutdown, normal and emergency conditions in accordance with operating procedures and instructions to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and or control systems in a power generation facility.
  • Perform/direct housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe work environment and professional appearance.
  • Work within and ensure strict adherence to all safety and environmental procedures.
  • The O&M Technician will work various shifts and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
     

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of directly related operations, mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation and controls experience (I&C) experience in a power generation facility or a minimum of 1 year of directly related mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation and controls experience maintaining large industrial equipment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Prefered Qualifications

  • GE 7FA experience is a plus but not required.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

This is a safety sensitive position. Individuals receiving conditional offers of employment will be subject to drug testing and must receive a negative result to begin working for the company.

Base Pay

$40.91 - $56.19 USD Hourly
Bonus: 0% - 15%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
 
In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance. Your recruiter can share more about bonus eligibility for this position during the hiring process.
