Plant Engineer, Black LP Seal - FULL TIME VARIED SHIFTSPlant - Elmer

MAJOR FUNCTION:
Operates and maintains high and low-pressure boilers, mechanical equipment and   controls for generation of hot water and steam for heating of hospital buildings, air conditioning, sterilizing operations, food preparation and other services for the Hospital. Operates and maintains all other equipment in floor 7 & 8 mechanical spaces including, but not limited to, centrifugal chillers, air compressors, vacuum pumps, cooling towers and diesel generator.

QUALIFICATION:

Education & Experience:

• High school education or equivalent is required. 
• Some appropriate trade/technical/vocational training is desired.    
• 2- 5 experience required operating high-pressure boilers and high tonnage chillers.

Certification/ Licensure:

• Possesses a Blue Seal,1-C Engineer's License.
• High Pressure up to 3000 HP (Vineland Plant Only).
• Possesses a Blue Seal,2-C Refrigerant License, (Vineland Only).
• Possess a Black Seal Engineer's License, High Pressure up to 500 HP (Bridgeton/ Woodbury Only).
• Possess a BlackSeal Engineer's License, Low Pressure up 500 HP (Elmer/Mullica Hill Only).
• Note: based on Table 3.4 of the New Jersey State regulations for License Boiler operators.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of the operations and functions of auxiliary boiler room equipment. 
• Must be self-motivated, work independently with limited assistance as well as being able to work well with a team. 
• Must be flexible with schedule as required for special projects and various boiler room tasks.
