Position Highlights:

  • Position: Pharmacy Technician II
  • Location: Elmhurst Hospital, Elmhurst, IL
  • Full Time - 40 hours/week
  • Hours: Evening Shift (2:30 pm - 11:00 pm); every other weekend and rotating holidays required (Approx. 4-5 holidays per year)

What you will need:

  • Education (Required):
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Certifications (Required):
    • Current License as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Illinois
    • One of the following must be met:
      • Current Pharmacy Technician Certification or must obtain CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) within 90 days of hire, or
      • Successfully passed the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) examination pending certification, or
      • Current Pharmacy Technician license with “Student” designation issued by the State of Illinois
  • IV room experience preferred

What you will do:

Assists pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records.  Works under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
