Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Elsa LLC - Elwood, IN 46036Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: 1stJob Summary The Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment throughout an automotive manufacturing facility. This position performs routine cleaning and sanitation of production areas, equipment, floors, restrooms, break rooms, and other facility spaces while following company safety procedures and environmental requirements. Key Responsibilities Clean and sanitize production areas, manufacturing equipment, floors, walls, and workstations. Remove trash, debris, oil, grease, and other contaminants from designated areas. Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, pressure washers, vacuums, and other sanitation tools. Follow established cleaning schedules, procedures, and safety standards. Properly handle, label, store, and dispose of cleaning chemicals and industrial waste. Maintain restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas as assigned. Identify and report spills, leaks, damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or sanitation concerns. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow OSHA and facility safety requirements. Work safely around moving equipment, production machinery, forklifts, chemicals, and other manufacturing hazards. Maintain adequate supplies and notify supervision when cleaning materials need to be replenished. Complete required sanitation logs, checklists, and inspection records. Assist with plant shutdown cleaning, deep-cleaning projects, and special sanitation assignments. Work cooperatively with production, maintenance, environmental health and safety, and other departments. Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsQualifications Previous experience in industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, janitorial, or sanitation work preferred. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and industrial cleaning equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift for extended periods. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Reliable attendance and punctuality. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
