Based out of Elyria, OH, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controller to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Controller will play a crucial role in managing our financial operations and ensuring the integrity of our accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Management:

• Oversee the operations of the accounting department.
• Manage accounting operations across departments, including control systems, transaction processing, and consolidated financial reporting.
• Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP in all financial accounting methods and procedures.
• Drive process improvements in financial and cross-functional departmental transactions.

Transactions:

• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of general ledger information and the chart of accounts.
• Ensure accurate product costing and adequate product pricing, reporting variances to senior management.
• Oversee timely maintenance of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Ensure customer invoicing accuracy and approve all customer credit memos prior to processing.

Reporting:

• Analyze and interpret financial data, recommending changes to improve system and financial performance.
• Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.
• Provide financial analyses for capital investments, pricing, and contract negotiations.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• CPA certification.
• Strong ERP skills, preferably in Epicor.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Experience in manufacturing and inventory costing.
• Advanced mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow fiscal guidelines, regulations and principles.
